I gotta finish tanb..........slime man and make some money from it, then make my planned other software that appeals to people who actually have money, and make loads of money from that, so that I can throw these piles of money at every person I ever see online having money problems, and also The Teens at the Problems High School whose Problems are mostly just that they need money.

I also need to move out of this house! And other stuff that requires money. But seriously, the reason I've gotten so much coding done lately is that every time I see a signal boost for some scared person having money problems, my brain goes "I need to work tanb..slime man so I can become a millionaire." And there are a lot of posts like that - too many - so I'm spending a lot of time working on this Tumblr client - maybe too much.

This mechanism is irrational, probably unhealthy, and definitely unlikely to work forever! But it's better than my pre-Adderall responses to such stimulus, those being, 1) gritting my teeth and scrolling past the thing before I get too upset, or 2) going into a rage/despair spiral lasting hours or days. I am unlikely to actually make a lot of money from my Tumblr client! But at least I am doing something that will eventually be of use to other people.

It's eventually going to be a browser-based client for using social networking sites with bad interfaces in general, but I'm starting with Tumblr, for obvious reasons. Nearly everyone I know over there at this point uses an extension called XKit to force the native Tumblr interface to work*, but there are limits to what browser extensions can do, and it's not yet usable on mobile devices.

Once I've got that polished up enough to be usable, I'm planning to add some tools to help people migrate from Tumblr to other sites easily - crossposting, etc.

(* I started an early version for myself a few months back when I was having really bad visual processing problems and couldn't manage to block all the flashing gifs and videos and shit that are built into the interface. There was a day that I honestly thought the 404 error page was going to give me a seizure.)
