I just finished reading Bone.

What this means is that there isn't any more of it.

And, I learn, Smith hasn't really done anything else.

I am very, very upset right now.

I am all suddenly empathizing more with the opium-addict parts of the Lymond books, which-had-previously-irritated-me-so. I'm off to frighten abused children with my withdrawal symptoms.

Well, he is currently writing and drawing a limited Captain Marvel series (old-school-bought-out-by-DC-Big-Red-Cheese-Captain Marvel, not the Marvel Jim Starlin character). It's fricken adorable, the most respectable thing DC's done with Captain Marvel in a bit, and some good Jeff Smith funny. You could try that!

Nope. It's Jeff Smith's take on the origin story. It is being specifically written so that you can pick it up knowing nothing about Captain Marvel.

And it is superheroes, but it's really fun and awesome old-school superheroes, having no relationship to the unutterable suckfest that is the mainstream DC publishing schedule.
