Date: 2015-10-16 03:49 am (UTC)At some point (many years ago now) my mother started pointing out that by the time a city issues a "boil water advisory" there's been lots of time for people to drink it and be affected. I expect good genes have more to do with her excellent health than the fact she's been avoiding unboiled water for howevermany years. But boiling water also hasn't hurt ... she's 80 and makes the rest of us feel old and feeble in comparison.
