snarpLion is incredibly worrying in light of Sugar Sugar Rune's obvious influence on SU + the mounting evidence that Rose did some Evil Deeds.
In SSR, the uncannily-intelligent-yet-mute cat familiar was the heroine Chocolat's "dead" mother Cinnamon - ostensibly either executed or exiled for the crime of offering her crystal heart to a human man - keeping an eye on things from a safe, responsibility-free distance.
Cinnamon returned at the end only for a suicide mission, having carefully avoided revealing herself to her daughter on several earlier occasions, with the narrative always framing her avoidance as self-sacrifice.
Hey, she would've had to have an honest conversation with the kid! No way, impossible! Not gonna happen!
