...see, mostly I just am sitting here nodding along. Indeed, the fandom seems no worse than any of the fandoms of my youth. Mostly I am charmed by what I've seen of it! You know, "awww lookit the kids, they're doing The Thing!"

I mean, I'm not reading Homestuck. This is not a fault of the source or the fandom, but because I've gone up against the format/scope of it and splatted hard about three separate times which means that it's not happening until I reacquire the bits of brain i need for that kind of processing. (university has eaten them. it ate my ability to consume any form of prose fictional narrative and has partially eaten my ability to consume any form of a/v narrative -- comics cannot be in installments longer than a single page at a time, I can barely watch TV, etc, etc.,)
