snarpSteven does not voluntarily fight people, and Peridot doesn't seem to know how - she flinches when Jasper pulls a weapon out, and when she's cornered and tries to use one herself, Steven disarms her. It doesn't even occur to her to kick him away.
If she had some robots, she'd totally tell them to crush him, but she doesn't! So it's just awkward:
