Three of Eric C. Conn's clients have already committed suicide.
(Kentucky Politics Context: Conn ran an extremely successful social security firm that pretty much everyone in the region used. He was famously a personal fuck-up - he bought air-time on the local TV stations to scream at people who had hurt his feelings and put on little plays where he was James Bond, he put up massive billboards of his own face declaring him "the man who never sleeps" with clocks where his eyes should have been, he hired supermodels to work in his office, etc etc - and there had been suspicions about his professional ethics for years. But no one ever prosecuted him, so people understandably kept using him.
It came out a while back that he was bribing at least two judges. He still has not been prosecuted - because, obviously, they were not the only people he was bribing - and he is still a millionaire-to-billionaire. He's in the fucking Bahamas right now.
His clients, most of whom are legitimately disabled, all just had their benefits yanked without warning and without the chance to appeal. These people had no fucking idea what was going on, a lot of them need continuing medical care (there are a bunch of cancer patients) that they now can't get.)
