Question for people who have taken Modafinil/Provigil and are commonly Tired For No Reason.

1) How well did it work for not being Tired For No Reason?

2) If you've also tried Adrafinil, how about that?

(Psychiatrist was talking about putting me on Modafinil, but insurance probably won't cover it.)

I took provigil for a while, but it didn't do anything for me. I was cutting a 100 mg tablet in half (and it's not shaped to be cut, so that was challenging) because I couldn't tolerate the side effects of a full 100 mg. Basically, it screwed with my blood pressure so that I couldn't bend over without a pain spike.

At 50 mg, I was still napping within an hour of taking it.

Well, that sounds terrifying. I know my sister didn't have blood pressure issues when she was taking it, though, so maybe I'd be able to avoid that.
