I do not say this lightly. I got an upper GI series once, and had to drink an extra half-cup of the radioactive smoothie because I vomited a bunch of it back up. Whatever shamanic tradition it is that uses calea ritually must have developed within a culture which made a practice of eating its pizza before it was cool. It smells like catnip, and tastes like that expansive and indescribable sense of horror which HP Lovecraft spent his literary career attempting to convey.

Anyway, I guess I'll try burning it like powder incense. Probably going to be nauseous for the rest of my life, though.

(Context: Calea tea is something people drink or smoke to give themselves more vivid dreams. My dreams have been either nonexistent or simply not up to my personal oneiric standards for the past year or so, and I'd like to do something about that.)

...yeah, that sounds horrible. My sleep and dreaming was improved with goji berry tea. Instead of buying the expensive whole foods/health store crowd, if you can get to a chinatown you can get dried gojis relatively cheap and boil them for a decent tea.

I'd also suggest drinking a cup or two of water w/the tea. I found the goji tea left me feeling dehydrated to some level.

That ... yeah, that sounds pretty horrible.

I've had some pretty good success with a vitamin B-complex supplement - the few nights I've taken it have produced remarkably vivid and "feeling" dreams (i.e. dreams that mimic or produce actual sensations, f'rex wind blowing across my skin, or the drop you get in your stomach when you go down a rollercoaster). As a fun bonus effect, it turns your pee bright yellow!

There's always melatonin + B12, though that's a short term solution as far as I'm concerned (melatonin's dream-enhancing effect seems to taper off quickly with use, but for a night or two it's WHOA NELLY intense. Will leave you rested, though, which a natural night of WHOA NELLY dreams often doesn't). Haven't tracked what happens with just B12 at night, but it definitely helps in the morning when one's had poor/no sleep (a massive dose of B12 being one of the key ingredients in those "detox from the night before" energy drinks).
