snarpI have figured out what Calliope’s powers are.
The Muse is the one who gets to decide which timeline is the “alpha” one, and thus is responsible for pruning all the others off. Every dead Dave and doomed Aradiabot was the result of Calliope deciding she liked one headcanon better than another.
So the alpha timeline was written down in Karkat’s programming book, which Caliborn tore up and abandoned.
Calliope likes mayhem and relationship angst (from a safe distance), which is why the alpha timeline is just herfavorite characters best friends dying and being traumatized and having bad breakups.
Calliope is fandom become god.
