Homestuck update.

snarpAgggh. Dirk and Jane. Conversations between Dirk and Jane are so sane. They cure all ills.
Poor Roxy, she is getting the short end of the hangover conversation stick. Jake is talking about himself again, hurrah.
I wonder if the Condesce's orders about waiting until Jane's birthday to go after the kids were given with the intent to get them killed here on their quest beds. Her alt-self did have a similar approach to a similar obstacle. "Nobody ever has the guts to off anybody, let alone themshellves!" It would be awesome if she and WQ were in cahoots, and this is why WQ's been keeping Alpha Jack in storage.
It will be entertaining if this is the precise moment that one or both sets of interlopers show up. I guess Jade and Nannasprite would probably be able to do the god-tier murder-honors, given that they're on pretty comfortable terms with death. Same with Kanaya and Terezi, though that would be a waste of a dramatic opportunity.
I don't know about Rose, maybe she could handle the Prospitians. Or Gamzee could do it, if he gave a shit? I don't know if Gamzee gives a shit.
But John, Dave, Davesprite, and Karkat - haha, noooo. They would freak out. John does not want to kill his teenaged Nanna, that's just weird and sad, dude! Dave and Davesprite have already had to see way too much of their Bro's rad corpse! Karkat is so done with dead kids, stick a tined implement in him, leave him the fuck out of this corpse party!
...it doesn't surprise me at all how that broke down genderwise? Homestuck has kind of a lot of manpain, in the sense that the guys tend to make themselves a lot more miserable for a lot longer. Rose's reaction to her Mom's death has been the biggest exception, and she magically got over that in a way that Dave, Karkat, and Dirk have failed to get over their own crap. Jade, Terezi, and Vriska stayed on remarkably even keels when working on their issues, and Kanaya's little homicidal meltdown seems to have solved all her personal problems in the same way that Rose's did hers. What a couple of shounen manga characters you two are.
I think Erisolsprite and ARquiusprite are probably going to be useless in terms of game-sanctioned team-killing? I don't know, maybe they can get it together. They owe their respective kids some payback, ARquiusprite particularly. Fond as I am of Dirk, he did try to fucking murder a guy who couldn't defend himself and was pleading for his life. I think Vriska's the only other ostensible hero to do something like that.
Or maybe Omnipojack will somehow beat them all there and deal with the situation single-handedly. With the exception of PM, he's killed everyone else at least once.
