I hate AT&T, as usual.

I've spent the past three hours trying to get Dad's Samsung Galaxy Tab to install from non-market sources. This is necessary because it will not complete market downloads. That is to say, one cannot presently install anything at all on this absurd device.
Enabling of "install from unknown sources" appears to be impossible unless I flash a custom ROM (seriously, AT&T?); I may end up doing that, but I'd rather have the option of flashing it back to the original AT&T one in case it needs work. This appears to be impossible.
(This does work, but I see no reason for Samsung and AT&T to have charged Dad $400 for a computer that is incapable of installing software without the help of a second computer.)
