You can, of course, comment on Dreamwidth using your LJ account via OpenID. It's a pretty easy process. There will be links at the bottom of every post, and all that good stuff!
I also have Dreamwidth invite codes, if you want them. I'm leaving comments open on this post - let me know if you want a code. There are also plenty available on the Dreamwidth Codesharing community. Just be sure to be polite and leave a comment if you take one.
I'm not going to go back and disable comments on my older posts, because most of them don't have links to the corresponding Dreamwidth entries. I've got over a thousand posts, and I don't really want to go through and manually fix that. It's something that's going to have to wait until someone's written a script that'll do it for me - 1000-some posts is too many to do by hand. (Eventually, what I plan to do is remove all content on the LJ and replace it with links to the Dreamwidth posts. But, again - not doing it until there's a script.)
This isn't something I decided to do entirely because of the Facebook business, though that did push the timetable up - it's been on the to-do list for a while. Last month I started editing and removing older locked entries that I felt contained more personal information than I wanted on LJ's servers. I'd planned to finish working through that (it's a slow process) before instituting the comments thing.
