Is it possible to get burnt out on narratives involving demon summonings?

I hope not.

It may indicate some deficit in my character that I find Baccano! soothing, despite the massive quantities of blood spilt therein.

(It may also just indicate that I want to kill people? I don't know if that's a deficit; it seems to me like a surfeit, of something. Maybe it is my philosophical construction of the nature of wrath that is the deficit.)

Anyway, I like most of the cast, which is huge, but I particularly like Isaac-and-Miria, Nice, and Jacuzzi. Though I also object to Jacuzzi's name. His surname is Splot - I mean, the whole thing is just a really big problem.

Baccano! is totally soothing. It's so optimistic! I mean, despite the massive bloodshed and death and sadism the way that none of the characters are really good people. I have watched it a ridiculous number of times and it always makes me happy. :3

Isaac and Miria are kind of good people; it's just that they are good people who exist in a universe slightly sideways of the one in which everyone else exists.

Yeah, they are ridiculously good people at heart, in a amazing, unrealistic and illogical way. They're still thieves, though. XD I love them a lot.

You like Baccano? I tried to watch the first few episodes and it just confused me, although I loved how stylish it was. I know the library has the whole thing on DVD and I do like demon summonings. I don't think you can ever really get tired of them. Or haunted houses. But maybe that one is just me.

It's definitely confusing - I'm halfway through and I still don't have all the characters straight. I like it anyway, though. (The fact that most of them are plainly labelled in the intro sequence also helps.)
