Nalini Singh has disobeyed my direct orders.

I’m part-way through book 6 (Hostage to Pleasure, and dear god these things have dreadful titles) and she’s started referring to Ghost by male pronouns. Given that she still hasn’t revealed who he is (though it’s pretty obvious he’s Krycek), I don’t understand what the point of the gender-ambiguity was in the first place. I kind of feel like she got my hopes up just to flip me off?

So I’m not going to finish this series.

(I can no longer tell any of the male protagonists apart, anyway. I swear to god that I was reading this just a few minutes ago, but I can’t remember the dude’s name.)
