He does that sometimes. He laughs really loudly.
I can't figure out if he genuinely finds the movie funny, or if laughing at the appropriate points is some sort of process by which he reaffirms his cultural status? Like, enjoying this sort of humor is how you demonstrate that you're a white guy from the US who's over the age of fifty-five, same as being able to identify the actors and knowing how they died. (He can identify the actors and knows how they died.)
I asked Mom and she said he actually thinks it's funny.
