Walking around in a circle at night.
Jun. 22nd, 2010 09:48 pmA small brown rabbit ran past my feet and stopped in the grass. It raised its nose to sniff the air suspiciously, uncertain what had alarmed it. My presence had not entirely registered; or at least had not registered as being a plausible source of alarm. I moved on. A few steps later, something else moved on the ground near me, and I looked down to see a narrow black bird, turning itself around in a startled way. After a moment it flew away. I had, it seems, been made invisible.
I was listening to the new Chris Pureka CD, How I Learned To See In The Dark. Perhaps the CD also confers other useful properties.
