Several new and bewildering comments appeared on the entry where I made fun of a Second Life build and the designer and one of her employees showed up to respond. I thought at first they were a real person, but now I’m wondering if they might be some kind of spambot. Turing tests are either funnier or sadder now that we have the internet to show us how often people fail them.

Oh my. I love how you need to be shown around to properly appreciate the "art". Lol. Wow. I'd say they need to get a life but they are already on their second one so it seems redundant.

I can understand why she wanted to post something. She does make her living selling this stuff, and while she's pretty well-known in Second Life, there aren't a lot of really long criticisms of her work out in the wilds of the internet. My post seems to be one of the longer ones, and it's both over-the-top-snarky and fairly high up in the Google results for her name. So I can respect that she felt she should respond somehow.

But I kind of can't respect the part of the strategy that involved explaining how people who don't appreciate her landscaping skills are living their lives wrong and destined for unhappiness. Also, the part with the "I do assume that YOU work for a living?" Those parts were not so much so.
