If Garnet ever splits up voluntarily for an extended period of time, I bet it's going to be because the gems find out Rose did something messed-up.

Ruby and Sapphire's drift in "Keeping It Together" seemed to have something to do with Rose - Sapphire felt the need to defend her against something. I feel like the possibilities are:

1) Ruby could actively suspect Rose of having something to do with the loss of the broken gems, and Sapphire could be doing her conflict-averse let's-not-think-about-it thing again.

2) Or (I like this one better!) Sapphire could just have been trying to talk herself out of suspicions she harbored but hadn't yet shared, and they just started falling apart because their reactions were irreconcilable: Sapphire was feeling guilt and denial that Ruby couldn't recognize, because Sapphire'd seen something she hadn't.

Obviously Pearl's capable of keeping secrets during fusion - it'd be interesting if Sapphire also does that, and that's part of why she wanted to "forgive" Pearl without ever discussing or acknowledging the betrayal. In "Rose's Scabbard," Garnet seems pretty accepting of the idea of Rose keeping important things secret, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Ruby and Sapphire are both equally comfortable with that.

Basically: I'm a bad person and the Keystone Hotel fight wasn't enjoyably awful enough for me. Not enough pain. The Pearlpain must be challenged and defeated.

Also, I want to see Ruby and Sapphire interact one-on-one with Amethyst and Pearl, and preferably also a duet in which Ruby's basically just yelling a lot. She forgot to sing.
