And I just got to episode 7, and how is Tsuzuki still (quasi-)alive if he makes such consistently bad decisions? I do not pity you, Tsuzuki! You are too stupid!

*snorts* You want consistent, go for the manga. And be prepared to howl when you hit the very unfinished end. But seriously, the anime pulls a lot of developments and realizations way out of sequence. You can only watch it for the pretty; coherence is not to be had.

You know I think YnM is actually slightly more consistent and treats rape alittle bit more seriously than Gravitation. But not by a lot.

Yeah, I agree with coffeeandink here. For me, the manga was kind of random, and then there was the stretch where she started taking long hiatuses, and then she came back and the art completely changed, and then she stopped creating manga, period, and instead went to work on videogames... but couldn't blog about it because the one time she tried to, a bunch of people started flaming her about the unfinished YnM.

I don't even know.

It's entirely your blog's fault that I was watching this in the first place; I was bored, remembered seeing it on there at some point, and went on Hulu. And last night had a dream about a bad guy who caused his victims to emit flower petals.

I feel kind of bad for them! I didn't realize the manga was unfinished, and after a couple episodes of the anime I just started assuming that something this badly-plotted was going to have either a nonsensical ending or none at all.

Ah, I love Yami no Matsuei. Not for any particular virtue on the show's part, I admit.

But I'm also with the people who said that the anime actually is somewhat more coherent than the manga, although it has its own pacing problems.

At one point I basically went back and experimented in rewriting the structure of the series to make it flow better, but I got distracted by other shiny things. I should go back and finish that some time.

Lol, I love YnM because it is so crazy and stupid. The only thing I can think of that is consistent in the whole mess is that Tsuzuki likes treats.
