Typing words in a box

Finished The Pillow Book, and Sei Shonagon is still an asshole, and Ivan Morris's footnotes still have some bullshit in them. Neither of these things has changed in the years since I last read it. However, reading an segment, then going back and looking through the footnotes, and then re-reading it, has at some point in the interim become extremely soothing for me.

I am now instead reading a Night Vale/His Dark Materials crossover and enjoying it.
