I can breathe through my nose again.
Nov. 18th, 2012 08:00 pmI am celebrating by burning all the incense. All of it. Okay, not all of it because that's stupid, but Nippon Kodo Mainichi Koh pretty much nonstop. How did I live without you for two weeks, mass-produced synthetic sandalwood?
The downside is that I can now smell how badly I stank up my room while I was sweating all over everything while sick. I had too much dairy, too, so it's the sour-milk sweaty smell. I was never aware that American BO smelled like sour milk until moving to Japan, during which period it really started bugging me. Japanese BO is generally less intense, even though Japanese deodorant sucks, but you run into some people who smell like oily fish. In my experience, you generally run into them when the train is really crowded, and in a literal sense. My olfactory hypersensitivity is both a blessing and a curse.
