I think last night was the first time since I went off the painkillers that I slept through the whole night straight, without jarring myself awake on either my incision or my arm. I made it ten hours, too.

I dreamed about an astronaut who, left alone on the moon for a long time, built a strange underground structure with a locked door in it. A smooth, straight tunnel is visible behind the door, going a very long way into the dark. Surely he couldn't have dug it himself? A later astronaut cannot take the time to force it open, as he has come across it with only an hour or so to get back to the lander. And this is his last moon walk before he returns, and he does not know when anyone might come back. It will be a very long time before anyone opens the door.

So this dream is really hard to interpret - but I'm guessing it means that I'm sad about the end of the shuttle program. Though there were also evil sentient Volks dolls with secret compartments in their bodies. I'm not so sure what that meant.
