I thought my period was finally starting this morning, after a personal-best Blood Hiatus of nine weeks, but the bleeding had stopped entirely by noon.

I don't mind this symptom of my hormone horseshit, but I'm also having hot flashes. I don't think those are really going to be appropriate to my lifestyle for another, oh, two decades or so?

Fortunately I'd already set up a gynecologist appointment for later this month.

Re: hot flashes -- unless one's lifestyle includes a walk in freezer, the sort of job that doesn't mind frequent interruptions (or can be carried on inside said freezer), and either no colleagues or the sort who are easily trained not to comment; I suspect hot flashes never are quite lifestyle appropriate.

When I started HRT at the tender young age of 22, I got hot flashes -- and was immediately chastised by customers at work three decades my senior for being way too young to start doing that.

I kept quiet.
