LOL I just got off the phone and this was 100% the gist of that call.

My exposure to the law has been such over the last 18 months that I am not even going to describe the situation in any more detail than I just did. The last 45 minutes have included legal shenanigans from not one but two shitty abusive men, and that is two more than I wanted to deal with on a Friday night.

Yet-living and oft-enraged! So: good, relatively-speaking. How about you + your rebellious guts?

I found a treatment! That is, a friend found a treatment. It costs $600/month and isn't covered by insurance and I had to practically scream at a doctor to get him to prescribe it AND my official diagnosis is "anxiety" (unspecified anxiety is not an actual psychiatric diagnosis, especially when given by a gastroenterologist) and it's licensed for ulcerative colitis, but hey, I am back on my feet again.

tumblr-utils doesn't seem to back up the tags on posts :< so that's something unfortunate I just found out today

It actually might, but it’s just not sticking them someplace easily visible? Jekyll Tumblr export should get them, if you want to try that; I think it’s only imageset backup that the API update broke.

(And my exporter’s got them; so, one set of backups of your (public posts’) tags definitely does exist. In my iron grip, and as-yet non-human-readable.)

I just saw this, I'm really grateful to hear it, my tags are super precious to me. 8( It seemed really strange it wouldn't grab them... someday I will, I dunno, visit, mail a thumb drive, receive a tag-only email, just knowing that they're backed up remotely is a huge pat on my anxious backbrain.

I plan to start emailing people their text piles once I’ve got my exporter/converter fixed up! I think all your blogs’ raw JSON data (minus the images) was under 100MB in 7z format. I’m going to do HTML and Jekyll output first (because relatively-up-to-date templates already exist), then Dreamwidth and WordPress (because I’m assuming other people are working on those anyway).

The images are obviously a lot bigger; I’m still thinking about the sanest way to do that. Torrent? Mail a DVD-R?
