Not much changed tonight.
Our nation has just expended a good deal of money and energy to maintain the status quo. This is the proper business of every sufficiently complex civilization, and as such deserves to be viewed with exasperation and disgust, as is the proper business of every citizen of such a civilization.
Ben Chandler lost to a Tea Party idiot even worse than he is, but I've chosen to think of this as a trade for Elizabeth Warren; considered thusly, it is perfectly acceptable. My ridiculous state can sacrifice its mendacious closeted Republican in order to allow Massachusetts to have Warren. You're welcome, Massachusetts.
