(I still really like Uhura's Song, by Janet Kagan, though that's Original Series. I used to think Q-In-Law by Peter David was great - Lwaxana Troi and Q start dating and he gives her powers, which is obviously the best premise ever - but I'm a little afraid to re-read it now.)
