I'm glad you like it! I don't know if I'll ever expand on it, just because there are like four other things I'm failing to write right now. But if I do I will tell you; then I will know at least one person will read it.

(Also because I think it really is a lot like Song for the Basilisk, which has already been written. The thing that's most obviously ripped is the whole bit where the lost heir to the throne gets middle-aged and starts a family and develops other interests and is kind of unsuitable for the job. I love that storyline so much.

Also, the setting as I saw it when I dozed off was basically the Hinterlands from the book, and the witch was the old fortune-teller with the bowl. Though now that I'm awake, I've decided it's in India.)
