how can they be so good
they are the sweetest possible dogs
they stand next to each other and put their heads on my knees and shut their eyes while i pet them
sometimes they get sleepy and start falling over but don't want to move, so i have to sit down on the floor, and then they doze off on me
whoever decided they didn't want these dogs anymore must have been deranged
(I'm mad at whoever dumped them, but honestly, the park near our house is a pretty good place to do that, if you're intent on it for whatever reason. They can hang out in the equipment storage buildings or under the big tires when it's too cold or hot, they can walk down to the creek for water, and there are at least three sets of people on this road who habitually feed stray animals, including us and the park service workers.
But seriously, this is what the animal shelter's for.)
