xxxHolic-related: Yeah, that had vaguely occurred to me. It conjures up worrying images of the two Syaorans using one another for organ donors, assisted by Yuuko, until one is just a hovering magic eyeball... (or maybe it only does that if you just read a bunch of Julian May books)
I'm not really creeped out by the talk about mixing/melding relating to Watanuki and Doumeki, basically because they're, uhhh, consenting adults, I guess. But it makes me uncomfortable with the two Syaorans, and I don't think anything like that between them is going to be voluntary on Clone!Syaoran's part. Two people getting combined seems like a horror-movie sort of thing (to me, anyway), and the idea that CLAMP might be aiming for a happy ending incorporating something of that sort makes me twitchy. CLAMP's ideas about identity seem to be kind of loose, and frequently make me nervous.
X-related: Maybe Subaru just isn't good for Kamui; he made him choose destruction. They're too angsty to be hanging around together. Or maybe it's just plain Seishirou's fault.
RG Veda is... early. I can see why they might want to rework it now. I'm not sure how important it is to have read it, though knowing the premise probably helps for the Shara/Shura plotline. There is some good stuff in there - there's one particular Big Revelation at the end that I thought was set up pretty nicely (especially compared to how badly some of the other Big Revelations go off) - and there's also one character who I'm pretty sure is the prototype for Fai, though it's not obvious which until the very end, so that's not a spoiler. I'm not really sure I'd say that's enough reason to read it, though. (Or maybe I'm just a spoilsport and being unnecessarily dubious.)
