Dubiety is very upset about my decision to take him to the expensive emergency vet that was the only place open on Thanksgiving Day, and buy him expensive special food, because of his expensive clogged-up guts. He is presently communicating his displeasure by sitting on the other end of the couch. Not right next to me, like usual - he’s a whole cushion-length further away than is his general practice. His scorn is palpable.
