Old Orgrimmar was my favorite capital city by several orders of magnitude. (Even though I never did entirely memorize the layout, and I eventually set up an alt permanently stationed in Undercity just so I didn't have to mess with the bank-mailbox-auction-house circuit.) I loved all the differences in lighting, especially the change in the colors when you went into the old Drag. Silvermoon's got some of the same qualities, but it's sort of a Disney movie, and thus appeals to me less.
The Orc areas of new Orgrimmar are just kind of homogenously dark, and the Troll and Tauren areas feel like kind of transplanted bits of Thunder Bluff and the Echo Isles. I mean, the Troll area before didn't fit perfectly, but the current switch in architectural styles feels really abrupt and weird.
And it seems kind of segregated now? Like I was whining about, Zamja's not in her shop anymore, because she's a Troll and it's in what's apparently now an Orc-Only area. There's an orc cooking trainer there in her place. I assume that this stuff is intentional, but, I mean, why did it happen? Did Garrosh mandate the establishment of ghettos? Have the Trolls and Tauren quietly started bunching together because they no longer trust the Orcs? There seriously needs to be more frigging color dialog in there to explain the situation's dynamics.
